Whether you're a seasoned collector or you're new to the industry, questions can arise when preparing for a new tattoo or piercing.
We've compromised an extensive list of questions body artists are frequently asked to help throughout your journey. If you don't see your question on our list, please always feel free to contact us using the form below!
Yes. Reputable, licensed tattoo artists are professionally trained and regulated to by the state in which you're receiving your tattoo and in taking any and all proper precautions. Our tattoo artist is first-aid, CPR and bloodborne pathogens certified yearly. At our studio, every one of us take great pride in the cleanliness and safety for both you and ourselves. We adhere to strict protocols to avoid any and all cross-containmination and in providing sterile, disposable materials for every single client. Disposal in regulated sharps containers are immediately used upon completion of your procedure to ensure needles are never used twice. We communicate closely with the Casper-Natrona County Health Department [CNCHD] to ensure our methods comply and exceed current laws, regulations and guidelines.
Scroll to the bottom of this page and fill out one of our request forms! It's the easiest way for us to keep the studio and schedule organized!
Primarily, we operate by appointment. Whenever possible, we accommodate last minute appointment walk-ins. However, as our studio has condensed in size, please call, text or message us ahead of time to check our artist's schedule. We do offer a more personable experience with privacy to our clients and a great respect to each person and their tattoo or piercing.
We do! They're appointment based and offered at any time. If our artist has flash in their bio, you can always inquire with us about any of the designs available. For tattoo flash day events, [i.e. Friday the 13th] we will always share any updates of our events here and also on Facebook!
Our body piercing age limits can be found under the Piercings tab. Tattoo appointment age limits vary based on the meaning, reason and tattoo design, however, we will not tattoo anyone under the age of fifteen [15].
In the State of Wyoming, for a minor to receive tattoo or piercing services, you are required to bring a valid government issued identification for both minor and parent/guardian as well as a notarized permission of minor consent form, which can be found at the bottom of this page. The parent/guardian must also be present during the entire procedure.
Yes, we have one on site.
Yes! Consultations are always free and recommended. If you're a new client and we have yet to have the pleasure of meeting you, once you complete our tattoo request form, if requested, we will be in touch to schedule your consultation!
Not necessarily. A consultation allows us the opportunity to meet! However, if one isn't requested by you or your artist, and you're confident in the details you've give on your tattoo appointment request form, we can go ahead and schedule your appointment! Communication with your artist will absolutely determine what route is best for the two of you!
Generally, consultations are incredibly helpful for tattoo ideas which are extensive, custom, a cover-up, an addition or to re-work an old tattoo. Consultations help prevent miscommunication, micromanaging and allows our artist to collaborate with your ideas in creating a comprehensive, achievable tattoo design. Keep in mind, any artwork preparation unmet the day of your scheduled tattoo appointment may cause potential rescheduling in respect to valued time.
Typically, a consultation is thirty [30] minutes to review your vision, size, location and the details of your tattoo design and if you have yet to schedule and pay your deposit to secure your tattoo appointment, you'll be required to do so at this time. If you have any other references you haven't submitted or would like to use to assist your artist in creating your vision, please bring these with you as well. Any visuals and reference material will best prepare your artist in bringing your tattoo to life.
Deposits are $50.00. Deposits are non-refundable and confirm your tattoo appointment date and time is scheduled. The deposit will be applied toward the final cost of your tattoo.
If you need to reschedule for any reason, please give your artist a twenty-four [24] hour notice. If you miss your appointment, do not show up, don't give a twenty-four [24] hour notice, are more than thirty [30] minutes late and we have to reschedule, arrive without identification or if you reschedule an appointment more than twice, your deposit will be forfeited in full [including any amounts paid to date] and you must put down another deposit upon rescheduling.
No. You'll pay in full until your last appointment. For multi-session tattoos, the deposit is held as payment towards the last hour of the last session of the tattoo, unless forfeited for previously stated reasons, then a new deposit will need to be paid.
Due to the complex nature of tattooing, the organic process of tattooing and the unique styles, creativity, skin types and sizes, a quote is difficult to fully ascertain. We meet standard rates in the Casper, Wyoming area at $150.00 an hour. Artists, studios, cities and states fluctuate. If you are on a budget, a multi-session tattoo appointment will be offered for your tattoo design if it can not be completed within your specified dollar amount. As a personal service, always be prepared to bring a bit more money than you intend to spend in order to cover yourself in case the session runs over in any predetermined time and of course, to kindly tip your artists.
The creative process for designing tattoos is fluid. As we work with multiple clients daily, keeping a flow from the design to the tattoo art itself, we draw and design our appointments the night prior to or the morning of your tattoo appointment. This keeps the planning process for your tattoo fresh and we don't forget creative lines, shades, colours or organic creation our artist takes in accomplishing a finished piece. As well, it guarantees and gives our artists peace of mind when fearing any stolen tattoo designs. Therefore, drawings or drafts will not be emailed or otherwise viewed before your scheduled tattoo appointment time. If you haven't done so before the consultations, please give your artist all the details and everything they will need in order to complete your tattoo design to the exact specifications you desire. If the design does not fit our artist's preferred tattooing style, we care deeply for both the artist and the client to have the best experience possible and we will recommend another artist for your piece as the integrity and permanence of your body art is greatly important to us. We will never take on a design without confidence and humbled trust in our creativity or if there is potential for any compromised quality. We absolutely love bringing life the tattoos we're entrusted with and when determining the perfect fit, even if they do not work in our studio, we are more than happy to match an artist suitable and comfortable with you and your tattoo.
We have a dedicated tab for tattoo appointment preparation. Please read through this, especially if you're a traveling client! Always bring with you a valid government issued form of identification.
We do ask that you limit your guests to only one extra person. If we need to accommodate exceptions, please contact your artist for any special circumstances. Children must wait in our lobby with an adult's supervision.
In Natrona County of Wyoming, it is against health regulations to get a tattoo while pregnant. If you are breastfeeding, it is safer to wait to avoid potential exposure to multiple toxins. During the tattooing process, the tattoo ink comes into contact with blood and lymphatic fluids, and thus potentially with the placenta and breast milk. During this initial phase, the soluble liquid part of the ink, which contains large amounts of hazardous substances, will become bioavailable and will subsequently be washed out of the body. Although there are no studies in regard to, it seems likely that the systemic exposure to hazardous substances directly after tattooing is high.
While regulated by the health department of Natrona County, Wyoming, body artists are cautious in tattooing and piercing any individual who is predisposed to certain medical conditions, those who have underlying health conditions, those with known allergies, contact allergies or allergic reactions, those who are pregnant and those who are immunocompromised without first consulting a medical doctor or your primary care physician and presenting a signed release to our studio before receiving any of our services.
Further medical conditions regulated by CNCHD to ensure proper healing of the tattoo and piercing are those with diabetes, hemophilia, narcolepsy, epilepsy or those with a history of fainting, skin or dye allergies, skin lesions or sensitivities, along with those who are taking medications which can interfere with blood clotting such as any anticoagulants.
Allergic reactions are rare, however, they can occur months or years after receiving a tattoo and due to such it prohibits the ability to do an effective patch test before tattooing, as is stated by the World Health Organization, An inflammatory skin reaction immediately and up to one [1] month after the tattoo procedure is in most cases a normal defense mechanism of the body, which also deems a patch test ineffective. People with current known contact allergies should exercise caution, but there is not enough research to make concrete recommendations for unknown allergies to a tattoo and the chemical composition of tattoo inks.
Although moles are usually benign [cancer-free] and we can go through life ignoring them, there is always the possibility that a mole could serve as an indicator of cancer, which makes the preservation of a mole prevalent, even the inconveniently placed ones! As you age, if your mole changes in colour, it can indicate an underlying health concern. Using any ink pigment in a tattoo can hinder your ability to spot any colour differences your mole may go through. For your safety, it is best that a mole is not to be tattooed over. Our body artists will not ever recommend tattooing over a mole and are watchful of them during the tattooing process. However, a mole can be tattooed around and sometimes even incorporated purposefully into your design to serve an artistic purpose. Always be sure to keep an eye on your moles for any changes in size or colour and visit your doctor immediately with any observations you may have!
Currently, we are only apprenticing one artist at a time and this position is filled. We are, however, always happy to assist or answer questions for portfolio building on your journey!
